The big day has finally arrived and Malibu Libby is ready to make her red carpet appearance! She is confident she will look spectacular in her designer dress adorned with beaded trim at the shoulders and down the side seams for that extra special touch. The mermaid silhouette shows off her beautiful shape and makes just enough of a statement. She’s sure to make the best-dressed list with this gown! We made this fully lined dress using a lovely silk shantung that holds the flounce nicely. Other suggested fabrics include: Silk dupioni, poly blend Shantung types, taffeta, and satin. A slick lining, like rayon, is also suggested. We used a 1/4” beaded lace trim for the straps and a 1” wide beaded lace trim to embellish the sides. If your trims are not beaded and you would like to add that extra sparkle, try beading the trim yourself. Have fun making your one-of-a-kind designer gown!
