Okay, I can’t lie- when the ‘disco pant’ trend first came about (after it’s initial birth in the 80’s) I was a little worried. The terms ‘skin tight, spandex, and figure hugging’ (when applied in trouser form) are ones I usually stay far far away from. So, when Republic contacted me asking me to style up a pair of disco pants, I had a tiny panic- what do you wear with them?! After a long hard think it dawned on me. Do they really have to be hard to wear? When thought of like a shiny black skinny jean it was simple.
