Paperback with flaps. A self-development book through animals (especially dogs and cats) life lessons. Another goal is to help people connect more with the true essence of their animals.
A memoir of Incurable Hope
THE POWER OF PIVOTING is a self development book created to help guide people through unexpected changes in relationships, career, mental health and more. In this book, I use my own personal journey and story as a roadmap of tips and tricks to not only get through the big changes, but learning how to embrace them. From learning to fear change during our childhoods, to the First Big Holy Crap (as Chapter 2 is titled), to tips for dealing with anxiety and depression, the book contains actionable exercises to help people turn their own pivots into their dream lives.
Do you ever feel like parts of you are at odds with each other? Wish you could quiet your Inner Critic? Are transitions challenging when you have so many competing voices inside? When making decisions about your relationships, career, or home, you may be excited about the change but also unsure about which choice is the “right” one. You may be putting pressure on yourself to avoid a mistake and feel torn by the variety of viewpoints within yourself. In Team You, you will learn to welcome all parts of you and rally them in the same direction: toward your deepest dreams and highest aspirations. Rather than judge some parts of yourself as better than others, you can connect with the gift each has to give you.
Book Cover for How To Stay Ahead Of Your Doctor And Influence Your Health Book
Book description You know that there is more available to you. Life is calling for you to be more in the world. And while you’ve taken a few baby steps to find out more, the thought of jumping without a parachute terrifies you. You can feel yourself torn between the comfort that you know and that invisible whisper inviting you into the expansive and vast unknown. The doubts and ‘what if’s are paralyzing you on the fence of indecision. You look left to the comfort and right to the possibility. And left. And right. Which side do you choose? ‘Permission to Leap’ will guide you through the process of leaping from the day you commit to the day you land softly on the other side. Because the world needs you to leap sooner than later.
More Than A Mindset was written out of a little frustration, that I was doing all of the mindset work but I was still low, depressed, not feeling good and living life with little joy. So this book is the last 10 years of searching for the answer, to find what else was missing. I realised there are 4 other areas we need to work on alongside our mindset work. It's not as simple as saying an affirmation to change our thought patterns and results. The work goes deeper than that. These 5 areas in total are our body, mind, heart, spirit and soul. which I go through and explain how to access.

I always love contests from Philadelphia, my hometown, and this author had a clear idea of her vision and the book looks like something I would like.
The Author wanted the book is about doing things you truly care about, rather than the things other people or society tells you to care about it. It offers 5 days of exercises to begin taking the action to discover one’s life purpose.
This book is about honest life lessons and the reality of becoming you. This book is written for everyone. For people struggling to find their path and purpose. For people who have their shit in order, but are seeking new opportunities for growth in areas of life they didn’t know existed. For people. For people. All people. Regardless of race, creed, color, or gender association. This book belongs to you. It’s for you. It’s for your friends and their friends and their friend's friends. It’s for us. It’s for all. Its purpose is to shine light on areas that aren’t addressed often enough. To give a new meaning to aspects of life that are far overlooked.
It's about a youth/young adult speaker who travels to share her vulnerable ten year journey from succumbing to hookup culture to triumphing in a life of virtue. Her coming of age story demonstrates how she learned the value of physical intimacy and how to fully trust in Jesus.
The author was looking for a design related to stress and depression of caregivers in the workforce. I decided to do a soft approach to a strong subject while keeping the focus on the title and subtitle equally.
Fun, retro, bright, imaginative, whimsical, innovative.

Client asked for an elegant and calming cover.
43 designers participated in this contest. My design was selected as a winner from 141 designs entries. It was a great experience.
A book called Why Does He Keep Hurting Me. This is a guide for people, who are struggling a toxic relationship
I tried to incorporate an image that fit the design brief. I felt a darker background suited the design so the title really stood out more. I blended the image with a black ground to achieve this effect I desired.
Project that emphasizes spiritual enlightenment, self-knowledge and soul energy.
A cover for a motivational book about life.
Book cover for Manual to Die in Style.
Book cover design for a self-help book.
Using a clear succinct process, this book brings people from chaos and frustration to fulfilling productivity with proven strategies to deal with this crazy, always-on world!
I worked on a concept of freedom of mind, body and soul.
I created this design based from the clients idea. I took their idea and twaked it a little to bring the image to life.
A minimalist non-fiction book cover
This cover is available for purchase. If you're interested, please send me a message. :-)
The contest holder requested a white background, with the colors aqua and gray to be used along with white and black. She wanted a very informal, handwritten typeface. This cover is easy to read and minimalist. This design is available and unused if you'd like to see it adapted for your book. Save yourself the contest fees; shoot me a message and we'll open up a 1:1!
Very excited that the author loved my book cover design! I wanted to make it elegant and clean and beautiful.
Beautiful, free-form, inspirational, and colorful. The author wanted something that would stand out.
I submitted a few concepts from which my two designs were highly rated on polls. CH selected one of them.
non-fiction, self-help book cover
The client had no idea what he wanted in this project, so I proposed this concept that reflects the importance of valuing the mindset.
The author saw this unused design in my portfolio and related to it immediately! She saw the colorful butterfly as how we bloom and color as we learn to incorporate our intuition into the decision-making process. One special thing about this cover is that the sky and sunset images were taken by me at my favorite wildlife sanctuary. No one else's book will ever be the same, as no one else will use these exact exclusive sky pictures!
Illustration for a self-help book targeting men of color that feel broken, stressed, depressed, or looking for direction in life.
I submitted multiple concepts from which one concept strikes the CH and she did a poll too. Ch loved my design and awarded me the winner.
The author wanted something minimalist and NOT white to set off this flower. This design is available and unused if you'd like to see it adapted for your book. Save yourself the contest fees; shoot me a message and we'll open up a 1:1!
The client wanted a book that would appeal to a 12-20-year-old demographic. I have a 16-year-old son and didn't stop designing until he liked it! (I now owe him a new pair of shoes for his feedback!)
The author didn't want something serious or dark; she wanted to approach the book in a more lighthearted way. A raven is often a harbinger of doom; so sending it packing felt appropos. I also liked how the purse monogram is the author name. The overall effect is dramatic and eyecatching.
Soft and playful cover for an interactive self-help book.
Colorful, playful and surreal graphic representation of author's personal story and his strategies to break free of inherited mindsets to achieve a higher level of personal freedom. The aim was to clearly portray the mreaning of title with graphic in an entirety.
This was the first contest of this client at 99designs and I really enjoyed it. Not only because the content of the book, but because the innovative approach of the client in choosing 99designs to build it. My approach explored the atom quantum and the old gear to present the experience and the innovative.
Following the client's guidance in following the visual identity of the other books in the series.
Simple Bold Lifestyle book cover
The author really liked white, red, black, light neutrals. This is a fun kind of design that you can't miss from across the room!
I wanted to offer something beautiful, neutral, calming. I want the reader to feel a sense of peace just looking at the book. The stone/sand concept is more masculine or neutral; the lily is more feminine. These design are both available and unused if you'd like to see either of them adapted for your book. Save yourself the contest fees; shoot me a message and we'll open up a 1:1!
This book is about abuse, trauma, addiction, and the process of overcoming them. Since the title is very strong, I've used the pressed flowers to counterbalance it. The delicate, almost transparent flowers can also be perceived as a metaphor for fragility, for being hurt.
Dramatic, engaging, definitely magical, with a nod to vintage circus posters. Easy to read, evokes curiosity and humor. Made my husband chuckle when he saw it, and he's a hard sell. :)
With this image and concept, we have an anonymous lady - could be of any race, religion, ethnicity - crossing a bridge, going toward a brighter future. The colors are soft, muted, yet hopeful. There's lots of space for the eye to rest. The testimonial is evident yet not the first thing one sees. The beautiful sky extends across the back of the book.
The author wanted clouds and something simple. I love how the words dip in and out of the clouds it sort of illustrates the concept.
This client wanted something dramatic and evocative for their new book. They loved how the design was mirrored on the front and back, and thought it would perfectly reflect their book.
For a topic like this, a descriptive image is definitely worth 1000 words. In this image, the child can be seen holding her hand up but this can be taken two ways; Daddy, stop! Or, in response to the title which presumably deals with a Heavenly Father, Daughter, Arise. The cover will definitely stand out from the rest. This design is available and unused if you'd like to see it adapted for your book. Save yourself the contest fees; shoot me a message and we'll open up a 1:1!
