Has this ever happened to you? You've got the time and the motivation to get up and work out, but you can't find your sports bra. This is, sadly, a very regular occurrence for me. No matter how organized I think I am about getting all my sports bras into one place, none of them are actually in that place when I go to look for them, minutes before heading to the gym or out on a run. It happened—again!—this weekend. The sports bra was nowhere to be found, and I'm not the kind of exerciser who's happy going without. So instead of skipping the run, I improvised. I found a semi-stretchy, mostly Spandex tank top at the back of a drawer, and folded it in half, upward (I figured the doubling of stretchy fabric would provide some extra support), and pinned it. Perfect? No—it didn't wick away sweat like a real sports bra, and things were a bit, er, jigglier than I might have preferred. But it passed! Another possible sports bra stand-in: a bathing suit top. Not a string bikini, of course, but if you have a two-piece sporty swimsuit that's more for swimming than for sunning, it
