This listing is for 1 Red Racer Nerite Snail. These Red Racer Nerite Snails are not only beautiful, but they are great algae eaters. They eat algae on aquarium walls, plants and substrates. These snails are also peaceful creatures and will not bother other tank inhabitants. We sell our snails at around 1/2 inch in diameter but they can grow up to 1 inch in diameter. Red Racer Nerite Snails are native to the Philippines and are relatively rare to the hobby here in the states. They are truly gorgeous with their unique patterns. We don't usually carry them so get them while they are still in stock! :) Nerite snails will not breed in your tank unlike other snails as brackish water is required for their eggs to hatch. Hence, they will not take over an aquarium, unlike other pest snails. We feed them a combination of our own foods Shrimpy Party, protein party, blanched vegetables (Spinach and Zucchini), and Mulberry leaves. B-grade Snails are snails that have more chips on their shells and/or have more subtle patterns on their shells. They are otherwise healthy snails that can make a great tank cleaning crew! Recommended Tank Parameters: Temperature: 68F - 84F PH: 7.4-8.4 KH: 3-14
