Cork & Natural rubber bonded together by heat pressing without the use of glue. Free from toxic PVC, silicone, latex, plastics, glue, & phthalates. Cork is a natural material made from the bark of cork oak trees, without the need to cut the tree down. It is antibacterial, soft and provides an amazing grip when wet. We use natural rubber instead of harmful PVC for the base layer, making it super soft, spongy and feels luxurious while being completely safe for the environment. Why 4mm? Yoga mats can range anywhere from 3mm to 6mm thick. While PVC is lighter, our natural rubber is of higher density and can be heavy at 5mm or 6mm making it very difficult to carry it around. While 3mm mats are very light, we are not satisfied by the level of cushioning they offer. 4mm, though is heavier, is the minimum thickness for great cushioning and still being light enough to carry around. Extra-large? Is it not annoying when the yoga mat is narrow or not long enough that we occasionally have to come into contact with the ground? Our yoga mats come in a supersized 186cmx66cm instead of the standard 180cmx61cm, making it harder for the ground to come into contact with you while you're engaged in your session.
