A water based, low odor easy-to-use, economical and proven anti slip floor treatment that address the problem caused by slippery-when-wet hard tile floors, unsealed concrete and enamel or porcelain bathtubs. Slippery floors are not only a nuisance, but they can also cause serious injury. Marble & other stone floors and concrete garage floors can be especially slippery. Spilled grease, oil and liquids on floor surfaces are often at the root of the problem when this happens Mop the floor with soap, warm water and a detergent designed for the application to remove any grime and dirt from the floor. Allow the floor to dry thoroughly. Then keeping the floor free of debris will help to reduce the floor’s slipperiness. BUT… Some floors are slippery even when clean. Our Anti Slip treatments are ideal for these type of slippery floors, it is an acid based product that makes a microscopic tread pattern (etching) in the surface of the stone that creates slip resistance without changing the visible appearance of the surface. When you step on the wet surface the weight of your foot flushes the water out from under your foot and into these microscopic treads creating a suction effect under your foot. One of the advantages of using an anti slip floor treatment such as etching is that it is long lasting if it is maintained correctly. In restaurants, maintaining the floors means cleaning them regularly with a good degreaser so that grease does not build up. In outdoor areas maintenance would mean hosing off or pressure washing so that there is not dust on the surface. In showers, maintenance would include rinsing well so that there is no soap build up. It is important not to allow the floor to become coated with a wax or a soapy build up of any kind to maintain the slip resistance.
